from NC WCW re: Saturday local events and WDC transportation

Our local chapter of World Can't Wait is making moves on two fronts this weekend to mobilize people against the Bush regime and its agenda of war and repression...we'll be getting busy in both Greensboro and Washington DC! Contact us ASAP at ncworldcantwait@yahoo.com if you can help with either of these efforts.
Simply put, you can go to DC to join the mass march and rally organized by the Troops Out Now coalition, or you can stay in Greensboro and make the Tate Street Festival a center of orange resistance against the Bush regime! See the info below:

Washington DC: Troops Out Now! Impeach for War Crimes!
One group of our Greensboro WCW chapter will be carpooling to DC to join the march demanding "Troops Out Now!" and "Impeach Bush and Cheney for War Crimes". Write to us if you want to join our carpool at ncworldcantwait@yahoo.com. There are also several buses from NC going, see the info below, or visit http://www.troopsoutnow.org/:

Greensboro: Declare It Now at the Tate Street Festival, "The Bush Regime Must Go!"
Come join Greensboro WCW at the Tate Street Festival from 12-5pm on Saturday, Sept. 29th as we highlight the Declare It Now campaign, and promote the urgent color orange as the color of resistance to the Bush regime's program of war, torture, theocracy, and repression. Check out http://www.declareitnow.com/ to find out more, and help us spread the word!

Come find our table at the festival on South Tate St. (near UNCG) and help us get out orange bandanas, ribbons and bracelets to people, encouraging them to make their opposition to this regime VISIBLE, as an invitation to others to get active! We are also using this opportunity to recruit people to host fundrasiing house parties for WCW:

Whether or not this weekend makes a difference is up to YOU: as our call says, "Silence and paralysis are NOT acceptable. That which you will not resist and mobilize to stop, you will learn - or be forced - to accept. There is no escaping it: the whole disastrous course of this Bush regime must be STOPPED. And we must take the responsibility to do it."

If you have any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to contact us at ncworldcantwait@yahoo.com. See you on Saturday!

Ever Onward,
Scott
