Protests are planned for 5pm local time at cities and towns around the country when President Bush vetoes the Supplemental Appropriations bill passed by Congress last week. World Can’t Wait – Drive Out the Bush Regime, and many other organizations who have been working to stop the Iraq war, expect thousands of protesters to demand “Stop the War NOW” and “Impeach Bush and Cheney!”

I tell ya, nothing makes sense anymore. I've about given up on the Democrats, too. This in just in from the AP: "Democrats not backing down on Iraq." sheesh. Those Democrats are SO tough. The way to end the war is to continue funding it, exempt the contractors whose numbers are large, and make the whole thing *non-binding*. That's so tough it's mind blowing.
The only things that ARE making sense are the Peace Vigil, WCW, Sheehan, Kucinich, and others like them. Bless 'em!
